Dematic has a need for a Technical Project Manager or Product Owner Agent in the Global Engineering Technologies team. The Product Owner bridges the gap between the business functions of Project Management, Engineering, Finance and Supply Chain. This individual will be required to work using Agile methodologies to understand and document requirements & collaborate amongst various groups to ensure a continuity of information among key organizational decision makers. To support the business requirement generation process, the individual will also compare and analyze requirements with major global data sets. If a change in process or procedure is proposed, this individual will collect, analyze, and present the impact to the larger organization using a combination of both data models and Agile methods. This position will also support Global Data Governance and Data Stewardship activities and lead and steer agile project teams towards successful project execution.
The Product Owner will help identify and document engineering requirements, prioritize development and integration efforts, test the solution and train the user community. The candidate must continually seek to understand our Dematic products from which datasets are gathered and analyzed.
This person will also identify limitations in current tools and data usage in order to make recommendations for the modification and development of applications and tools to better support evolving business processes.

This person will work primarily from the ?? Grand Rapids, Michigan office. This person may travel domestically and globally in order to identify and create sustainable regional relationships with key business process owners and users in order to support the product and engineering rules in the business applications. The individual must have a cultural awareness as they will be expected to gain support of each region to support their need of datasets. This individual should expect to travel between 10% to 20% of the time, though the exact amount will be on an as needed basis.
Knowledge and Background:
The product owner must understand the processes by which various operations groups and global regions within Dematic operate. The ideal candidate will have experience interpreting trends and results uncovered in data analysis in order to understand real-world operational and financial implications.
Experience with engineering applications such as CET Designer, AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, PLM-systems will be an added advantage.
The individual must have experience in how to set budgets, plan, and execute in the key areas of our business. This individual will need to be extremely disciplined, a self-starter, and have excellent language and communication skills.
