Under the direction of the Field Service Manager, this position provides service and repair as well as service and maintenance training for installed Dematic systems and equipment. As the Dematic representative in the Customer's facility, this position has a heavy responsibility for maintaining customer goodwill toward Dematic. Primary objective is to ensure that Dematic systems have the greatest availability possible for Customer use and to ensure that Customers are satisfied with their Dematic system and equipment. This role can be based anywhere throughout North America, preferably by nearby airport for travel. Qualifications:- Trade school graduate or two year Associates degree in a mechanical, electrical, or mechanical technician program. Bachelors degree in Engineering preferred.- Two years (minimum) experience in troubleshooting electromechanical and/or mechanical equipment. Successful candidate must have some working experience with material handling equipment. Service experience with- AGVS, AS/RS, or conveyors is highly prized.- Must be willing to travel on short notice and spend more than 80% of the time traveling. Dematic is looking for a Sr. Product Manager – Reliability.  This role will act as the face of product reliability for Dematic Global Product Management.  They will build and maintain a database of product lifecycle performance knowledge.  This data will be used for defining the baseline availability & reliability performance of our products.  The Reliability Manager will also establish prioritized programs to enable measurable improvements in product reliability, to maintain a best in class product performance.  This role will be located in Atlanta, GA or Grand Rapids, MI (offering relocation). This Sr Product Manager will work closely with the Lifecycle Services organization and will be instrumental to support their efforts to double revenue by 2023.  Identified reliability programs will be sold as Mods and Upgrades, an order book that is targeting growth to $550M by 2023.  These reliability programs will also support new business models that are all inclusive and priced based off outcomes.  The portfolio of these outcomes-based contracts is expected to reach $150m of annual billings by 2023 and successful reliability program will be critical to achieve required profitability targets.  The product manager will be a highly visible member of the Global Product Management team, working across all relevant product lines to connect improvement needs with product roadmaps.   Select responsibilities include:- Establish and govern the reliability performance scorecard and assure alignment with corporate metrics and objectives, and drive behaviors and outcomes that enables Dematic and its customers to benefit from improved reliability.- Develop a strategic plan identifying key gaps and opportunities and align with reliability goals and objectives.- Drive product reliability score card, product strategy, product positioning to target customers, product sales messaging development, product competitive analysis, and product differentiation.- Supports the Global Lifecycle Services organization in the identification, development, and commercialization of reliability programs- Establish priorities for Product Development through the creation and communication of a prioritized reliability improvement product roadmap.- Represent Global Product Management in gathering Voice of Customer and Dematic Field Service data regarding reliability performance- Develop go-to-market strategies for product improvements and lead execution of launch plans for these new solutions.- Work with the product team to develop the release and launch plan for new improvement features and services to customers, partners and prospects.- Create and deliver key messages enabling the Marketing & Communications team and agencies to execute relevant campaigns and programs.- Develop innovative and professional materials to support Sales in selling product improvement pitch decks, sell sheets, videos, blog posts, etc.- Support Product Management in business cases and ROI calculations showing reliability value proposition- Communicate plans across Marketing, Finance, Eng, Sales, and senior management.

This role will appropriately close the reliability analysis record for the project including the final report.This role will provide System Reliability technical leadership for creating reliability assessment plans and procedures to verify and validate warehouse automation equipment, machine controls and associated software as per the product design and requirements.Responsibilities:• Establish and lead System, Subsystem, and Module level DFR (Design for Reliability) activities such as Fault Tree Analysis and Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.• Develop, coordinate and conduct technical reliability studies and evaluations from Concept stage to Deployment stage.• Test development and method development for proactive risk assessment of subsystems and integration risks. Translate test results into meaningful product life metrics and highlight shortcomings on any metrics not met.• Collaborate and work with product design, design teams, system reliability, manufacturing and quality engineers and FA teams to de-risk, drive root cause, and implement necessary corrective actions.• Evaluate and score hardware/software nonconformance reports to identify failures and use the data to calculate acceptance screening and corrective action effectiveness values and perform/support demonstrated reliability assessments.• Coordinate with various engineering organizations to assign and plan the methods and detailed activities to demonstrate required product reliability performance.• Analyze system requirements and manage cost/schedule to develop reliability engineering programs to achieve company, customer and government agency reliability objectives.• Collaborate closely and stay aligned with product management, mechatronics engineering, software architecture, R&D and region engineering teams.• Mentor and Train Systems engineers to help them progress along the technical career path.• Lead technical design reviews at various stages of the program lifecycle.
