An automated guided vehicle (AGV) makes lights-out manufacturing and distribution possible by moving product within a process without human involvement. Dematic is looking to fill a newly developed opening for a highly energetic Operations Planner to assist in the creation and on-going maintenance of a new service. They will be responsible for the development and on-going operational plans associated with Dematic’s material handling equipment which may also include other standard facility operations. The ideal candidate should have 8+ years of experience in Operation Planning and/or 3PL Planning. This role involves setting strategy, developing solutions, developing financial models, defining KPIs, and developing operational standards to meet the industry needs associated with many customers. For new opportunities, pertinent information will be documented and provided in support of preparing successful and accurate solutions. For existing installations, information discovery and/or adjustments to exiting business models would need to be generated. They will work with all departments of Dematic to develop safe, low risk, creative and competitive solutions to meet Dematic’s and our client’s needs. Where appropriate, they will lead the proposal team in its efforts and present the results to Dematic Sales and possibly to the potential customer. After contract award, they will be expected to facilitate the transition of the project to the operations team.
