Dematic Corporation is now hiring for a Regional Field Service and Remote Technical Support Technician. Under the direction of the Customer Service Manager, this position provides service, repair, and occasional training for the installed Dematic systems. As the Dematic representative, this position is responsible for maintaining customer goodwill towards Dematic. Primary objective is to ensure that Dematic systems have the greatest availability possible for Customer use and to ensure that Customers are satisfied with their Dematic system and equipment. Qualifications:• Trade school graduate or two year Associates degree in a mechanical and electrical, or mechanical technician program. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred• Two years (minimum) experience in troubleshooting electromechanical equipment• Successful candidate must have working experience with material handling equipment. Both controls and hands on mechanical• Must be willing to interface onsite with customers as well as internal office needs• Must be willing to travel on short notice• Must be willing to be available after hours and travel accordingly• Willingness to work weekends, holidays and off shifts• Must be able to act calmly in stressful situations• Must be able to write clear and concise field reports and submit timely• Must have knowledge in the use of computers for word processing, data base functions and communications. Under the direction of the Field Service Manager, this position provides service and repair as well as service and maintenance training for installed Dematic systems and equipment. As the Dematic representative in the Customer's facility, this position has a heavy responsibility for maintaining customer goodwill toward Dematic. Primary objective is to ensure that Dematic systems have the greatest availability possible for Customer use and to ensure that Customers are satisfied with their Dematic system and equipment. This role can be based anywhere throughout North America, preferably by nearby airport for travel. Qualifications:- Trade school graduate or two year Associates degree in a mechanical, electrical, or mechanical technician program. Bachelors degree in Engineering preferred.- Two years (minimum) experience in troubleshooting electromechanical and/or mechanical equipment. Successful candidate must have some working experience with material handling equipment. Service experience with- AGVS, AS/RS, or conveyors is highly prized.- Must be willing to travel on short notice and spend more than 80% of the time traveling. May be continuously away from home for as long as a month (offer travel expenses).- Must be willing to be availible during off hours and travel accordingly.- Willingness to work weekends, holidays and off shifts.- Must be able to act calmly in stressful situations.- Must be able to write concise, clear, and complete trip reports in the time frame required according to Dematic procedures.- Must have knowledge in the use of personal computers for word processing, data base functions and communications. Understanding personal computer hardware setup and software configuration required.- Working experience with troubleshooting PLC's is required.Job Family Responsibilities: Participates in semi-complex equipment trial runs, investigative tests, repairs and overhauls. Participates in training customers on semi-complex products and services. Performs semi-complex maintenance on tools, test equipment, etc., and maintains documents of all inspections, maintenance and repair work, and failures. Participates in responding to semi-complex service calls. Participates in the assessment of semi-complex product/equipment performance based on field support data and recommends modifications or improvements. Key Responsibilities:Performs semi-complex work within technical or paraprofessional area. Effectively identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate steps to solve them in situations where the problem is not difficult or complex. Refers complex, unusual problems to others.

Dematic has an immediate need for a Proposal Specialist to be based in one of the U.S. offices located in the following states (Michigan or Wisconsin). This role is responsible for writing and editing our technical/contractual sales business proposal documents for our Customer Service Solution Development team. The Proposal Specialist will develop proposals for the supply and installation of upgrades and enhancements to existing Dematic systems that are focused on proposing Dematic solution(s) based on individual Customer’s needs. Pertinent information created by sales and solution engineers will be provided to support preparation of successful and accurate proposals. The Proposal Specialist will work with various Dematic departments as needed, to develop creative and competitive low risk solutions to meet each client’s needs. Department interactions to include: Sales, Estimating, Legal, Customer Service, Engineering, and Marketing. Responsibilities:- Produce best in class proposals as part of the Customer Service Solution Development team.- Coordinate, write and edit technical sales proposal content for adherence to technical, contractual, and quality standards.- Familiarity with Visual Basic, VBA and a Proposal automation tool is preferred.- Strong aptitude for creating standard solutions for building proposal framework.- Work proactively in the continuous improvement of company proposal templates and proposal processes.- Function as a subject matter expert regarding technical and contractual proposal content and language.- Question, research, and resolve any identified potential issues in specific proposal text and boilerplate text, with appropriate team members such as Legal, Engineering, and Subject Matter Experts.- Assist in the development of new proposal content and help maintain and improve released proposal boilerplates or templates.- Provide troubleshooting and training assistance for the Dematic automated proposal tool functionality and usage.
