Practice safe work habits and abide by the safety rules in accordance with the safety policies set forth by the client. 2. Provide electromechanical corrective repairs and preventative maintenance. 3. Log all service work performed, downtime during repair, and account for equipment service requests.4. Work in cooperation as a team with the 3PL warehouse operators. Job Family Responsibilities:Participates in semi-complex maintenance tasks, equipment trial runs, investigative tests, troubleshoot equipment failures, repairs and overhauls. Dematic Corporation is now hiring for a Regional Field Service Technician. Under the direction of the Field Service Manager, this position provides service and repair as well as service and maintenance training for installed Dematic systems and equipment. As the Dematic representative in the Customer's facility, this position has a heavy responsibility for maintaining customer goodwill toward Dematic. Primary objective is to ensure that Dematic systems have the greatest availability possible for Customer use and to ensure that Customers are satisfied with their Dematic system and equipment. This role can be based anywhere throughout North America, preferably by nearby airport for travel. Qualifications:- Trade school graduate or two year Associates degree in a mechanical, electrical, or mechanical technician program. Bachelors degree in Engineering preferred.- Two years (minimum) experience in troubleshooting electromechanical and/or mechanical equipment. Successful candidate must have some working experience with material handling equipment. Service experience with- AGVS, AS/RS, or conveyors is highly prized.- Must be willing to travel on short notice and spend more than 80% of the time traveling. May be continuously away from home for as long as a month (offer travel expenses).- Must be willing to be availible during off hours and travel accordingly.- Willingness to work weekends, holidays and off shifts.- Must be able to act calmly in stressful situations.- Must be able to write concise, clear, and complete trip reports in the time frame required according to Dematic procedures.- Must have knowledge in the use of personal computers for word processing, data base functions and communications. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide remote, second level customer support. The incumbent will work closely with customers, first level technicians in the Customer Support area, and software project and technical engineers to resolve customer issues. Provide analysis, support, and strategic finance guidance to the Plant Manager, Floor Supervisors, and other key Management on site.- Create financials for the Holland factory including forecasts, monthly review of actual to forecast and plan, and support the annual budget process for that location.- Calculate, review, and ensure accuracy in Holland standard costs including reviews of purchase price variance and production variances.- Support daily costing process and annual standard cost setting as required.- Prepare upcoming workload for Holland location both backlog (booked work) and new business.- Drive the SQDC (Safety Quality Delivery Cost) mentality in the plant with the plant manager and communicate the financial performance of the plant on a daily basis.- Review all key metrics of labor on a daily basis.- Support the forecast of inventory in the plant.- Calculate factory inventory reserves and evaluate the effectiveness of reserves on a quarterly basis.- Maintain and ensure compliance of all financial controls for the plant are followed including inventory management and cycle counts.- Participate in reviews of pending bids for new project work along with project turnover meetings.- Identify and drive process improvements in the business working with the plant manager.- Ability to be flexible with tasks and support other functions as needed at the Holland location for special projects.- Other tasks as assigned by Sr. Plant Controller or others within Operations Finance as required.
