Position Summary:  Dematic Corp. has an immediate need for an Installation Technical Writer Lead to help supervise the creation of operating instructions, how-to manuals, assembly instructions, and “frequently asked questions” pages to communicate installation procedures to field installers. Dematic Corporation is now hiring for a Regional Field Service Technician. Under the direction of the Field Service Manager, this position provides service and repair as well as service and maintenance training for installed Dematic systems and equipment. As the Dematic representative in the Customer's facility, this position has a heavy responsibility for maintaining customer goodwill toward Dematic. Primary objective is to ensure that Dematic systems have the greatest availability possible for Customer use and to ensure that Customers are satisfied with their Dematic system and equipment. This role can be based anywhere throughout North America, preferably by nearby airport for travel. Qualifications:- Trade school graduate or two year Associates degree in a mechanical, electrical, or mechanical technician program. Bachelors degree in Engineering preferred.- Two years (minimum) experience in troubleshooting electromechanical and/or mechanical equipment. Successful candidate must have some working experience with material handling equipment. Service experience with- AGVS, AS/RS, or conveyors is highly prized.- Must be willing to travel on short notice and spend more than 80% of the time traveling.
