In this role, you along with an engineering team will create standard logistics system building blocks for usage globally by the operations organization. To do this you will work as part of a cross function team of highly experienced mechanical, controls, and contract engineers. These building blocks will provide for a backbone of all standard offerings and can be configured and resused in flexible ways to rapidly deploy customer solutions. The customer of these efforts is the operations side of the Dematic business focusing on projects. The RoleDematic Corp. is looking for a Simulation Engineer. The preferred location is in our Atlanta, GA office. Other office locations available are Milwaukee, WI; Salt Lake City, UT; Grand Rapids, MI; and Austin, TX. The successful candidate will have 5 or more years’ experience developing simulation models and working on simulation projects; have a broad knowledge of manufacturing and material handling systems; will understand automated material handling systems, warehouse control systems, mechanical controls systems and distribution center operations; and have a formal academic training in Simulation Modeling and Analysis. Knowledge of AutoMod, FlexSim or Demo3D is desirable, experience with other simulation software is necessary. Essential Role and Responsibilities- Works on simulation model development on medium to large-sized simulation projects.- Works with others on project timelines and resources to successfully implement complex projects.- Conducts periodic status checks with customer and team to assess progress against plan.
