Dematic has an immediate need for a Mechanical Applications Engineer in our Peachtree Corners, Georgia location. The successful candidate will have 8-10+ years of experience working with the application of material handling solutions, including mechanical design and machine control, with a good understanding of warehouse control software and operational considerations. The position will be required to perform the following duties: Project Leadership- Able to dissect a vendor quote. Know system, products, and where in quote to find information.- Compare sales/estimating documents with company and customer standards.- Schedule and facilitate mechanical and overall System Tech reviews.- Track project financials. Communicate and document project risks, overruns, and underruns. Generate and track overruns (ORAs) and underruns, including plans to mitigate risks.- Participate in schedule review, aligning ME/CE segments. This position will perform the complete electrical assembly, wiring and electrical checkout of the Dematic products in a very clean, well-lit, and air-conditioned facility. Core Requirements: - Completion of trade school with a minimum of four years practical electrical experience.- Must have the ability to understand and follow the electrical codes and specifications subscribed to by Dematic.- Assists with the training of new employees and temporaries assigned to their work area.- Interprets electrical blueprints and schematics, recommending engineering changes as necessary.- Installs electrical apparatus (i.e.: switches, termination boxes, lights, photocells, control enclosures, etc.)- Bends and installs conduit to meet product requirements.- Solders electrical connectors.- Works with little or no supervision.- Performs electrical checkout and product testing on all products before shipment to insure 100% accuracy. Additional Core Requirements: - Operates forklifts and or cranes as required by assignment.- Must be able to ascend or descend ladders, scaffolding and the like with agility.- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and or up to 25 lbs. frequently.- Performs work in areas subject to such hazards as moving mechanical parts, electrical current and or chemicals.- Performs the installation of product which requires 25%-35% or more travel time with little or no advance notice.

Dematic Corporation is now hiring for a Regional Field Service Technician. Under the direction of the Field Service Manager, this position provides service and repair as well as service and maintenance training for installed Dematic systems and equipment. As the Dematic representative in the Customer's facility, this position has a heavy responsibility for maintaining customer goodwill toward Dematic. Primary objective is to ensure that Dematic systems have the greatest availability possible for Customer use and to ensure that Customers are satisfied with their Dematic system and equipment. This role can be based anywhere throughout North America, preferably by nearby airport for travel. Qualifications:- Trade school graduate or two year Associates degree in a mechanical, electrical, or mechanical technician program. Bachelors degree in Engineering preferred.- Two years (minimum) experience in troubleshooting electromechanical and/or mechanical equipment. Successful candidate must have some working experience with material handling equipment. Service experience with- AGVS, AS/RS, or conveyors is highly prized.- Must be willing to travel on short notice and spend more than 80% of the time traveling. May be continuously away from home for as long as a month (offer travel expenses).- Must be willing to be availible during off hours and travel accordingly.- Willingness to work weekends, holidays and off shifts.- Must be able to act calmly in stressful situations.- Must be able to write concise, clear, and complete trip reports in the time frame required according to Dematic procedures.- Must have knowledge in the use of personal computers for word processing, data base functions and communications. Dematic Corporation is now hiring for a Regional Field Service Technician. Under the direction of the Field Service Manager, this position provides service and repair as well as service and maintenance training for installed Dematic systems and equipment. As the Dematic representative in the Customer's facility, this position has a heavy responsibility for maintaining customer goodwill toward Dematic. Primary objective is to ensure that Dematic systems have the greatest availability possible for Customer use and to ensure that Customers are satisfied with their Dematic system and equipment. This role can be based anywhere throughout North America, preferably by nearby airport for travel. Qualifications:- Trade school graduate or two year Associates degree in a mechanical, electrical, or mechanical technician program. Bachelors degree in Engineering preferred.- Two years (minimum) experience in troubleshooting electromechanical and/or mechanical equipment. Successful candidate must have some working experience with material handling equipment. Service experience with- AGVS, AS/RS, or conveyors is highly prized.- Must be willing to travel on short notice and spend more than 80% of the time traveling. May be continuously away from home for as long as a month (offer travel expenses).- Must be willing to be availible during off hours and travel accordingly.- Willingness to work weekends, holidays and off shifts.- Must be able to act calmly in stressful situations.- Must be able to write concise, clear, and complete trip reports in the time frame required according to Dematic procedures.- Must have knowledge in the use of personal computers for word processing, data base functions and communications.
