Dematic is seeking a Software Developer to join our growing Software Execution team to develop, and support mission-critical applications that run our customer’s business. The successful candidate will use their skill to develop, deploy, and maintain high availability applications in a fast-paced team environment. The successful candidate will utilize multiple object-oriented languages and operating systems to create software using industry best practices, tools and development methods. They will also provide support and technical advice during conceptualization, development, and implementation phases to transform requirements to working solutions.  This job can be in our Grand Rapids, MI or Atlanta, GA office.  The Software Developer is accountable for the following actions:• Design and develop web-based applications utilizing Java EE for projects • Provide technical support to customers on-site• Train customers and key-users on installed applications• Maintain good relationships with all internal and external customers, through provision of a high-quality service• Work within an Agile environment• Attend site during software commissioning phases to ensure that integration testing and site acceptance testing is completed as required• ~20% travel availability

Dematic is hiring for a Project Manager to focus on small to large complex material handling projects.  This role would would be based near a Dematic field office (Michigan, Ohio, Atlanta, Texas, Utah, Wisconsin, and/or remote option). Complex projects may contain or consist of complex PLC controls software, complex WMS software, high speed carton and package conveyance and sort subsystems, pallet handling systems etc.  - Substantial and extensive experience with planning, management and execution of highly complex material handling systems- Understanding of the dynamic handling characteristics, constraints and risks associated with the wide range of materials handled within a complex material handling system.- Knowledge of the constraints and methods for defining and demonstrating equipment, subsystem, and system performance criteria.- Understanding and knowledge of various controls architectures, related controls levels, and the functionality of controls domains, inclusive of WMS and WCS integration.- Knowledge and understanding of the responsibilities and impacts of project execution when interfacing with General Contractors, Construction Managers or owners. Participates in the preparation and presentation of technical proposals, including product demonstrations and product prototypes. Participates in the preparation and presentation of customer needs plan to company teams to assure complete plan is feasible within cost, time, and environment constraints. Resolves semi-complex technical problems. May provide installation support and post-sales consulting. Provides follow-up support in disseminating semi-complex technical information on specific applications. - Own completion of responses to RFP, RFI, and other sales related documentation for assigned opportunities, using standard responses and liaising with technical resources as needed.- Performs analysis of customers' business requirements and develops solutions to meet or exceed customers' needs.
